The Scottish American Leadership Conference 2011 in Detroit, Michigan

The CHICAGO SCOTS, the American-Scottish Foundation® and the Saint Andrew's Society of Detroit are delighted to announce that the 2011 Scottish American Leadership Conference will be held at the Kilgour Scottish Center in Troy, Michigan. 



The theme of the conference is "Communicating Our Scottish Identity." The conference will be on Friday, October 21st through Sunday, October 23rd at the 2360 Rochester Court, Troy, Michigan.

The conference is an opportunity for those of us in the Scottish-American community to share views, values, experiences and best practices. The conference aims to raise awareness of Scotland and Scottish culture, to develop a better understanding of the roles, objectives and operations of the various government, academic, non-profit and private sector organizations that operate in the Scottish North American community and to identify opportunities to enhance communication and collaboration within the community. Representatives from every organization in the Scottish North American community are encouraged to attend.

 

The conference hotel is the Detroit Marriott Troy in Troy, Michigan. A block of rooms have been reserved for the conference. A standard room is $105.00 and includes a hot breakfast. Tickets for the conference and the banquet held on Friday night are only $120 per person. Tickets are also available for the banquet only ($60) or the conference ($60).
